Mackinaw City

The Mackinaw City area is located at the northernmost tip of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula on the shores of Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. It truly is a beautiful place to work, play, live and visit. Is it Mackinaw or Mackinac? (Both spellings are pronounced “aw”) The area was originally called Michinnimakinong by the Ottawa and Ojibwa Indians. The Mackinaw City marina is in the heart of the district. With shopping, dining and the Mackinaw Theater directly across the street, there is something for everyone. Watch the ferry or freighter traffic, the Mackinac Bridge at night or just take in the activity of the area. It’s a great place.
